Candle to candle,
On Christmas Eve.
Much the same as God’s love,
The light is not diminished
But grows bright and bold
When we share it.
We leave offerings of
Encouraging words,
A hand to hold,
A warm meal,
Much needed laughter.
The candle glow
Travels row by row
On Christmas Eve.
Acts of kindness
Multiply,
Fill the room,
And give us sight
To see ourselves anew.

Such a hopeful... encouraging one!!
Love the light of candles, words and kindness. Beautiful.
Glad you liked it, Sumana. Thanks for the visit!
Thank you, Sreeja! Glad you found it encouraging.
Lovely poem, Judith.
Judy, your poem resonates a beautifully pure heart. Your heart via your poem also resonates with me a kindness you tend to embrace in all you do. I am most fortunate to be someone who calls you love. You are true to your word and the most honorable person I shall ever know.
Thank you, Vicki!
Thank you so much, John! This means so much...right back atcha! :)
I picture us actually passing the candle and feeling the kindness of the season.
Me, too, Susan :)
Acts of kindness can show us who we truly are---if we will do those acts.
