Four-inch lizards
bask in a sun-induced trance
on Texas sidewalks

I was drawn in by the title. No lizards here in the great white north...relish it! Enjoyed this poem.

Thanks for commenting, Gowthani and Jingle! The lizards in our area are pretty small and usually run and hide quickly. We see them for a few seconds when we step out the door. :)

I miss watching the lizards drenched in sunlight, they always looked so contented. I live in a cold climate now so its a lovely reminder
